As an adult, I was skeptical about starting Tae Kwon Do, but since my son was already enrolled (via Green Mountain Rec Center), I figured I had little to lose. Since then, I've been more engaged as a student, rather than simply a parent, and I've come to respect Master O'Hara as an instructor who is very encouraging, with a balance of patience along with a steady & firm push for individual improvement. On a personal level, I've found it to be a good source of 'Stress Reduction' as I'm seldom thinking about work or kids school during classes, as it does require my full concentration most of the time. I've also found that my core is getting stronger, reducing the frequency of backaches. Lastly, I'm getting back some of my flexibility. If you are hesitant, as I was, give Mountain Academy Martial Arts a try. I bet you'll be back!
