This place has great food, great service and lots of drink options. I had the Ajax or chicken sandwich. Tasty moist chicken with Swiss on a very nice bun. My table got very good service through our meal and they have plenty of craft brews and signature cocktails to choose from. The only small issue was I ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was almost half frozen. Obviously not fresh but we had the mint cake and the cheese cake for the table and those two were eaten so quickly I didn’t even get to try the cheesecake.

I was really hoping for a good local restaurant however this place was a big disappointment. I had a filet mignon and my wife had the NY strip steak. Mine was the most flavorless filet I've ever had...like they cooked it in a microwave oven or something. The NY strip was full of gristle. Fries and veggies deserve the one star. The service was bad as well. The server was distracted talking to his buddy and admitted it to us. We won't be going back.

Excellent service, great food! Had the chicken bacon sandwich with pesto Mayo, and was very impressed. My wife had a fantastic omelette. Staff was very accommodating for our two young children and I REALLY liked the beer menu. Highly recommend!

You know, I live up the street. I'm here literally all the time. Dare I say, it’s my favorite place in town. I love the staff here, and the patrons are solid people.THEY HAVE THE BEST DRINK PRICES IN LAFAYETTE. And the coal miners stew reminds me of the stew my mom made me when I was a boy. I give this place, the employees proper tips and respect. Today, however, there appeared to be an influx of personal interest to the owner. Which ousted me out of my seat at the bar. TWICE. So homeless drunks could have a more comfortable seat near their acquaintances and so someone could chat with their friend. Seems like if it was that important, they’d get their own table. I understand having friends and family, but there are also paying customers who come to not be bothered. And typically when you sit somewhere, it’s incredibly rude to ask someone who’s paying you to move. Especially more than once. Then, as I move to a table, I hear people muttering under their breath and someone loudly say “oh be nice. Be nice” . Like I did something wrong? What’s really goin on here?! In conclusion, if you sit at the bar, be sure to be firmly acquainted with the ownership and their habits. DONT SIT IN THE CHAIR ON THE LEFT END OF THE BAR. ITS THE OWNERS MOM’S SEAT, apparently. She also rotates to the table to the left of it and stares at you like she’s gonna eat you the entire time you’re there ( a previous experience). Otherwise,be prepared to play musical chairs to suit the needs of the Gentry. 11/10 suggest caution when you enter. 12/10 will NOT be telling anyone to come here like I have in the past.
