        Ive gone in several times since the new owners, (I live in Kittredge and have been going here for eight years) and unfortunately Ill be going into Evergreen from now on. Loved this store under the old owner, but understand his need to move on. Everything is overpriced, staff no longer talks to ANYONE going inside and the place smells like a smoke shop with smoking paraphernalia everywhere. I also noticed one guy laying on a beanbag on the floor behind the counter. I asked him a question and he just stared at me. This is a small town where almost everybody knows everybody. You might want to start talking to your clientele and at least try to bring back the family friendly feel to the place.

        Edited to two stars: the store is under new management and I wont be going anymore. Prices are much higher and Im irritated that they put in an air machine. Not as friendly as the old staff either. Its too bad. I used to love this store and its old crew. I moved to the neighborhood recently and this store is one of my new favorite places. Love the convenience of having this well stocked store and gas station down the hill from our house. And taco Tuesdays are now a thing at our house. We absolutely love their tacos!!! Great local store!

        New owners who are very friendly and hopefully continue the small town feel and great burritos we've come to know. Jason is very personable and Jon his assistant eager to please.....a good start.

        The new owners are not friendly! They don't even try to build rapport with the long time customers and have raised the price on every item in the store. The burritos, Brian's original recipes that were included with the sale of the station, are smaller and inconsistent. I've purchased burritos for my family every Christmas for years and years. We went there tonight to get them and for the first time in I couldn't tell you how many years we will NOT be enjoying Brian's burritos for Christmas breakfast. SAD, this little wonderful store in the hills will not be on my radar anymore.

      Hey Gregg, I'm sorry who felt this way when you entered out store. Our whole purpose is to create a family environment for any person that enters our store. We love giving a warm welcome to you all as you guys are our family. To us our customers are our sole purpose of serving. Please give us another change and I guarantee you won't be disappointed in our services or prices. It's taken us some time to get used to this new environment as we are city people new to this beautiful nature. See you soon!

But our job is to provide the best prices to our family who we see as our customers. In regard to the air machine, that was just a way of us giving back to our community, as all funds collected by that is given to our community. Also for the burritos we are trying to give you a flavor of India, as that is where our roots belong, and we love to share our cultural recipes. I'm glad you had KGS be a part of your Christmas tradition, please keep it that way, fun fact both my kiddos are born on Christmas. I completely understand how important it is to keep these alive.
