AdventHealth Emergency and Urgent Care - Highlands Ranch

Avoid this place! I went to Centura Health because I was sick for over 10 days and wanted to know what was going on. What you don't know is that their Doctors are part of USACS Community Emergency Services of Colorado. I was charged $1,359.14 by Dr Richard Kubista. Dr. Kubista never gave me a diagnosis and spent less than 5 minutes with me. A separate bill will then be sent to you by Centura Health for their services.

Class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Look at every single Centura Urgent Care in Denver and they are littered with double billing issues and deceptive practices. What happens is they are in network for most people who have insurance yet the doctor's themselves are not. Went on Sunday morning within the Urgent Care hours for sore throat and potential ear infection. 2 hours later after a strep test and botched ear cleaning they send my wife home. At no point in this 2 hour process did they disclose to her, or I, that the doctor was out of network. During our visit I found all their reviews throughout Denver with billing complaints and deception so I took it up directly with the front desk asking for the copay amount and the cost of the services my wife had performed and he said "I cannot tell you I just send it to insurance and you can call them." Monday morning my wife gets a call from her Primary Care Doctor that they were notified about an Emergency Room visit. We specifically told the front desk this was for Urgent Care, were within the Urgent Care hours and it was classified as such on the written paperwork. Called the insurance company and they confirmed that the copay should be $50, but the doctor was indeed out of network and just like many others on here, did not disclose that to us. The insurance will be monitoring this over the next few days and I'm hoping this does go smoothly for us. This place is outright deceptive.

DO NOT USE - They will double bill you and scam you out of your money. They will NOT help you get the issue fixed. They will NOT re-bill your insurance company correctly. They do NOT care. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go somewhere else.

I've been to this location 3 times, 1 as urgent care and 2 as ER. The staff is really nice! I had Dr. Hertzler a second time nearly a year after my first visit and she is very caring and sweet. My nurses have always been great and the CT scan person is also very patient.
