Schomp MINI

I had an excellent experience shopping at MINI Schomp. The entire dealership operates seamlessly as a team, from sales to the service department. A big thank you to Mary French in sales for her kindness. I am thoroughly pleased with the experience.

Our salesperson was Brody. He was very helpful and easy to get along with. He was also training another salesperson at the same time. But we always felt that we were being taken care of. We had a couple of issues regarding financing. But he was able to get us financed and we drove the vehicle home that night. What we were impressed with was there was no haggling and Brody did all the leg work and he was the only person that we interfaced with. The experience was great and the only issue, because of our circumstances, was it was longer than the hour advertised.

Schomp has a uniquely bizarre process. I've been trying to buy a car from Schomp Mini for the past four days. The sales person told me that they pay Kelly Blue Book Dealer Trade-in value for your trade. Then he came back with an offer that was about $5k less than KBB dealer trade-in value. Then the sales person told me to try one of the online Instant Cash Offer sites. So, I submitted my information on CarGurus. I received three instant offers. All three were for the same price. All three were slightly above KBB dealer trade-in value. All three were from Schomp dealerships (Schomp Nissan, Schomp Ford, and Schomp Honda). A Schomp representative contacted me. It appears that they have one acquisitions department across all of their dealerships. They then offered me about $5k less than the CarGurus instant offer price. I asked why and was told that CarGurus instant offer price runs high. So, they pay KBB dealership trade-in value. I told him what KBB dealership trade-in value for my car is and asked why the difference. He wished my a happy weekend and good luck. So many Schomp games. So much wasted time. So much fraud.
