My wife and I had a horrible experience with Pediatrix for the birth of our daughter. We are being billed for two doctors who never saw our daughter and a third who put my wife in tears by immediately accusing her of being a horrible mother for underfeeding our newborn simply because her milk had not come in 24 hours after the birth. We didn't even want to use Pediatrix, but they were the only pediatrician available at the hospital due to COVID, so we had no choice.
Half of our bill is for a male doctor that was supposedly "in attendance at delivery" delivery despite me being the only male in the room at the time. I started a dispute with Pediatrix four months ago and even followed up multiple times for a status update. I finally got a call today saying all charges are accurate, they can't provide records to prove it, and we now have less than two weeks to pay everything in full.
I'm generally very easy going and forgiving of bad experiences, but this experience has been awful on every level. The one doctor we saw was nasty and unprofessional, we're being billed by two doctors who were not present, and the billing department refuses to do anything about it or provide proof these charges are legitimate.
I would not recommend Pediatrix to anyone under any circumstance.

Absolutely the worst billing system and customer service I have ever had with a medical group. Most of my other medical bills are willing to work with me in regards to making payments, but I have heard the run around from Pediatrix multiple times.
My first attempt to set up a payment plan, I was told I would be able to make payments of $25 a month, which I really struggle with 6 other medical bills asking for the same amount and more. I was then hung up on by a service rep. After calling back and speaking to someone else, I was then told they would not be able to accept a payment plan of $25 a month and the minimum amount due would have to be $34.55 because their computer system would not allow me to make payments for more than 24 months. I was then hung up on again after asking to speak to a supervisor.
I have delt with many medical billing companies who are more than willing to negotiate payments that work for me and my husband, until I can pay off more medical bills.
I was also told that my account would be sent to collections if I do not make a minimum payment of $34.55 a month, in to which I replied I am actively trying to pay on this medical bill and please don’t send it to collections. I was also told if I did not link my credit card or checking account to their system, I would be charged an additional $5 for each payment that went through. What a way to really work with people, and to rack up more money.
I don’t understand how their supervisors are not willing to work with the consumers whatsoever. It should be illegal what this company is doing to people.
