Banner Health Clinic - Plastic Surgery

This is directed towards the neurology department. I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago for today. I showed up for my appointment 15 mins early like I was supposed to. The receptionist told me to have a seat. 20 mins go by and I decide to ask the receptionist if the provider is running behind. I walk up to the desk and I stood there for 3 minutes while the receptionist refused to acknowledge that I was there, almost as if I were invisible. I brush it off and go take a seat. Another 20 mins goes by, I do the same thing again, only this time I said "hello" to force an interaction. I state my appointment was 25 mins ago, to which her reply was "If I can't see you in the lobby , I don't know you're there..........umm let me go see what's up". (Yes, the pause was that long) Comes back and says to me " the provider isn't here and someone called you to leave a message". None of that happened and then after another brief pause I get an "Ope, sorry about that, let's get you rescheduled". I hope they treat you better than they did me. I'm in desperate need of SI joint surgery and this was my last hope because some nice folks at a different institution, just neglected to push through the pre authorization for the surgery I was supposed to have on the 28th of August and I just got told "oh well, sorry." Is it too much to ask for folks to do their jobs? You all signed up for this, if you're not going to do your job, quit and go somewhere that half doing things is actually acceptable, this isn't something that should be okay in Healthcare.
