My first experience with Dr. Stucker was good; however, my second and third ones not so much. I recently needed the doctor to send in a prescription to my pharmacy. I had to call repeatedly all week in order to get anywhere with it. In the end, although I was assured it would be taken care of by the end of the week, I had to call her after hours to get it sent in (as it still hadn't been done). Within a month after that, in trying to get in for my yearly follow-up, I was rescheduled three (!!!) times in the course of three days. I have switched doctors, as Dr. Stucker and/or her office staff does not seem to have time for me or respect my time.

I felt very dismissed and heartbroken after my appointment with her. I went in with a very painful ovarian cyst that sent me to the ER twice and have been dealing with chronic pelvic pain for years, and she told me to do some yoga and take a bath for pain management. If that helped I would not have been in a doctor's office in the middle of a pandemic. When I asked her for more treatment options other than inducing me into menopause, she just looked at me shrugged. There was no empathy or compassion. I was practically bed-ridden, I can't work consistently, the pain induced vomiting and fainting, and I could hardly focus on completing my degree because of the constant fatigue and had to drop my classes because I was falling behind. 6 months later, I am still experiencing severe pain but I am thankful I found a different provider to be my advocate who cares about my health and makes it a priority. My reasoning for not wanting to go into menopause was because of my mental state, and lack of current access to behavioral therapy. My new provider offered add-back therapy to minimize the negative symptoms and we're doing small doses with frequent check ins to make sure I'm still doing okay. Even though I didn't really want to go through with this treatment for the reasons listed above, I am feeling very cared for and safe. There was absolutely none of that with her. I still get really upset thinking about this interaction, maybe if she took my concerns seriously I'd be in less pain now. The lack of compassion really stuck with me, I really felt alone in this and I just wanted help...
