An experience with Thunder Horse Outfitters is so much more than your ordinary trail ride. Yes, there is the beauty of the well-cared for and well-trained horses, the incredible scenery, and the magic of unplugging from the daily chaos. After knowing the great experiences people have had at the Grand Lake location, our small group decided to book a trip at the Burnet Texas location so we could enjoy a two-day ride in a warmer location for some winter fun. Our guide and his faithful assistant (a perfect dog named Rasta) safely led us along mixed terrain and let us experience the natural wonder, providing narratives on everything from the layers of history, to ecology, to indigenous connections and primitive skills. Its one of those experiences that will forever go in the memory banks of lifes special times. I think Thunder Horse Outfitters is equipped to provide a great experience to most any skill levelthe horses are well-trained and easy to manage for a beginner, but still sensitive enough for a more experienced rider. They will select the perfect horse for you! Weve been on rides with many outfitters in several states, but this riding experience was unparalleled. Such an amazing ride with Travis. He really allowed us to see great country and ride to our ability. The horses are amazing, well cared for and loved. Will 100% ride with him again.
