This school district is a joke, anyone familiar with FERPA? The school principles at Grand Mesa violate student privacy and don't even think twice about it. I have messages from another students parents telling me things about my son that the school disclosed to them. They should be ashamed of themselves. And when you challenge them they target you and your kids.

The new time change is a joke, buses are late plus the new changes put them right in rush time traffic.

I find it appalling that someone could be so callus to say that the district does not care about their students. I work for the district and I go into the schools everyday of the week and I see what the teachers do for our students. I applaud them for their daily commitment to their students and their parents. As far as the employee that was watching tv all day and don't forget vaping in the office is no longer here. She also was the toxic one! Our staff is so much better without that employee. She was so unhappy, she tried to talk bad about our leaders and that is not cool. District 51 is the best place I have ever work! They respect me and check in with me on a regular basis. I will stand by our leaders and trust that they will make the best decision for me! You might want to check your facts before spewing lies.

Biggest waste of time in my employment history. Unless youre apart of the good ol boy system, you will have daggers thrown at your back. Little to no training, no care or concern about the students, and zero care about staff. Be careful with any information you give because you never know what ignorant employee may send it to the wrong person They dont do thorough investigations when allegations are brought up and will dismiss good employees on HEARSAY; WITHOUT ANY PHYSICAL EVIDENCE! Employees can make disturbances, have bad attitudes which are borderline threatening, and make the environment toxic, watch ENTIRE tv shows, take personal phone calls and treat others with complete disregard or disrespect and nothing is said- but god forbid you take a break outside to call your husband whos a truck driver that works nights over mountain passes. Unfortunately there isnt another district I can put my son in. Never again would I waste my time or effort in trying to get hired with such a lacking quality of service.
