I thought I finally found a decent dental clinic in Grand Junction. But I just received a dismissal letter. They apparently decided after 3 visits which were only cleanings and exams that we didn't have an adequate "connection" so no longer will have me as a client. I have no clue what type of connection they wanted at an 8A appointment when I am not an early morning person and I was in pain from a recent injury. It's not like I was in psychotherapy or trying to date someone! Now I have to find a new dentist. Unbelievable!!

I visited this dental office once as a new patient. I knew I had a cavity that needed dental work. My uncle and cousin were my dentists where I grew up and I learned from them common dentistry practices and dental health methods. During my visit DR.Barr did not give me an oral exam to review the suspect cavities present in X-rays. She instead gave me a list of 8 locations in my mouth that she needed to drill. I sent the X-rays and her list of teeth to drill to my uncle and cousin and they told me not to trust that dentist and to get a new one. There were multiple errors in her reading of the X-ray on perfectly fine teeth and many of the other locations she wanted to drill were very old inactive cavities from my youth. Drilling on these would have compromised the tooth more than letting the small superficial cavity stay dormant on the surface of the tooth. Im not sure if Dr.Barrs methodology was bent on poor education or predatory dental practices. I hope she has changed pace but dental health should not taken lightly. Please do oral exams to follow up on what X-rays show.
