Canyon View Park - Basketball Courts

BASKETBALL PEOPLE SPEAK UP! LIKE THIS IF YOU SUPPORT CHANGING THE SHUT OFF TIME TO THE BASKETBALL LIGHTS FROM 11PM TO 12AM! We need the basketball court lights to stay on till 12am, possibly even 1am on weekends..? This gives the community a place to hangout and play basketball in a town that struggles having productive and legal things to do after 9pm. The City of Grand Junction in my opinion needs to invest more in late night outdoor activities for the community. Recognizing the sanctuary that can be provided by the simplicity of a game, a few lights, and good people is powerful tool especially for it's youth. Thanks to City we have this one, now keep the lights on a little longer please! Since this park is an alcohol free and drug free park it provides everyone a safe and healthy alternative to late night boredom as well as a break from the heat in the middle of summer.

Great place to shoot some hoops. Definitely a well maintained park.
