I have never had the need for a criminal defense lawyer and have never been charged for any offense in my lifetime and I am 55 years old. In December of 2023 I was charged with a felony and misdemeanor that turned my world upside down. Kip guided me through the whole process with kindness, great advice and knowledge, and always promptly returned my phone calls and emails. I have lived in Garfield County for 25 years and I am quite certain that I chose the best lawyer in the valley!! In March 2024, I received the best final outcome that I could ever have hoped for. I contacted Kip for a traffic misdemeanor of speeding that required a court appearance. With his guidance and following his instruction on how to proceed, the charge was greatly reduced. I've not had an infraction of any kind other than parking tickets in 16 years and I was a bit nervous while also dealing with other more serious family matters. He was always just a call away, I believe picked up the phone each time personally, and took control from day one. I was able to focus my attention on family and he took care of the rest. I highly recommend Kip. Very professional. I have two sons, 13 and 16, the eldest about to become a driver. I would rather not need his services in the future, but it is nice to know that the first time I've hired an attorney in my 23 years living in Basalt, I hired the right one and I will not hesitate to use Kip if necessary in the future.
