        Fountain Creek Regional Park is a great park and one of my all-time favorites! There are trails all through the protected wetland area where I've encountered a family of turkeys, owl's, deer, herons, red winged black birds, turtles, lizards, frogs, gopher (bull) snake, garter snake, dragonflies and damselflies galore, butterflies, hummingbird moths, beaver, muskrat and the elusive Bobcat. If you love bird watching or nature photography this is the spot! There are 3 ponds where fishing is permitted but NO FISHING in the wetland area behind the Nature Center!
