STAY AWAY if looking for MMP surgery! My pup was accepted into the practice for an MMP surgery after traveling halfway across the country by their surgeon and then denied by the "clinic manager" in the SAME 15 minute call for asking one question about physical therapy. They accepted me, I asked a question, and then I was put on hold for 10 minutes to have someone then say I was being dropped from the practice for asking a question. I communicated with their receptionist professionally and provided all records. Highly recommend ANYWHERE else to get MMP surgery, this practice will take an already stressful life situation and make you feel like you're a criminal applying to Harvard to see their surgeon, who is clearly oblivious to the gatekeeping. I called three vets afterwards and they laughed out loud at how this practice treats patients. Don't be fooled by the peer reviewed research that they'll provide (but didn't contribute to) -- plenty of more reasonable practices perform the MMP surgery if that's what your family member needs. They are NOT in it for the animals. They are posturing on the MMP v. TPLO debate and taking income/gifts for promoting the technique. background: 2 rescue dogs -- had both since they were 6months. My older pup died a year ago at 11yrs old; been around dogs and worked with vets for 30yrs+

We checked 7 different vet clinics that all quoted $6-8k for a life saving splenectomy for my dog. I was heartbroken, since we only had half that in our emergency savings and needed to do his surgery ASAP before the cancer spread. Animal Works came to the rescue and gave my boy the surgery he needed to live out his last few years, and they were/continue to be helpful, knowledgeable and compassionate in helping us get through this tough time with our old puppy. So thankful we were able to find and work with the folks at Animal Works.

For me the experience was good. They took care of my little kitty's spay quickly and for a reasonable price. They recommended shots and everything went smoothly. She was a little wet from urine. I saw another review mentioning the same for their dog, and I kind of expected it. Overall, Im happy with the surgery, and my cat seems to be recovering pretty quickly. I'll be taking more other cats here.
