I am a current Kevco renter and I have always found that they respond quickly and are friendly. They care about their vendors and are very reasonable.

They have some seemingly great units, but require filling out an application AND paying a $50 application fee BEFORE seeing the unit. While this specific company is not a scam (I pass the office every day on the way to work), how are we supposed to determine if a property is a good fit without seeing it first? Pictures don't always do justice to the situation. I'm not sure if every couple in Fort Collins can pay $100 for each place they want to see, but I sure know we can't. Highly disappointing since there are so few affordable housing rentals in this city.

The lack of care for the properties is incredible. Nothing will ever get fixed and you will be ignored. If you want a cheap company with horrible customer service this is for you! Save yourself and go to a private home owner that is renting. I did and it was a game changer. Good luck!

Literally took $855 out of our security deposit for damage that was already there. Do not rent with them, they give you the worst kept places then take a ton of your security deposit for reasons that are absurd and out of your control

KEVCO has been nothing but accommodating, kind, responsive, and understanding. As a renter, they really want to work with you and appreciate tenants that take care of their units. I highly recommend using them for renting, as their response time to maintenance requests or any other inquiries is so quick!!

Thank you for your feedback. The pre-screening process has multiple purposes.. … First I do wish to clarify, we only accept application fees from applicants who are first to apply. If we are processing applications already, we’ll accept back-up applications with no fee, to stay abreast of interested parties, should the 1st set of applications be declined or retracted. … Next, part of the intent in pre-screening a candidate’s credit and criminal history is for our staff’s safety. If a staff member meets an individual to tour a home, its prudent to ensure that person does not have a violent or otherwise concerning criminal history. We also respect our current tenants’ space and wish to limit tours of their home to qualified candidates. We are sensitive that these tours can be disruptive to current tenants’ schedules. … While perhaps imperfect, we find it is the safest process. We are happy to answer detailed questions of interested parties before submitting an application.

Hi Sydney. I do appreciate your feedback. While there were restraints imposed by the owner of the property which did not always align with your requests, necessary maintenance was performed timely. As you know, we parted terms with that homeowner. I'm glad to hear you found a property and landlord that meet your needs.
