Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive

So my son is in collage at CSU and I did a poor job of educating him on finding a good auto repair shop. His car broke down and he got it towed to a shop that was recommended by the tow company. Once there they told him he needed to get his battery and take it to the place we bought it before they could service it and figure out what is wrong. I didn't understand why they could not figure it out without him having to get the battery. He was going to have to get a Uber to and from auto shop and the place we bought the battery. I went to CSU myself and worked at NAPA and CarQuest so I kinda had an Idea of some auto shops in Ft Collins. So I Called Ft Collins Muffler hoping that it was the same reliable place it was when I was working there. Talked to Arron and he said get the car to me and we will check it out. Offers to get my son when the car was repaired. The car was up and running less than 24hrs later. I can't say enough on this place and what they did for my son and I. If you are looking for a repair shop that is reliable this should be your first stop, and if your reading this and your looking for a auto shop that you can trust to work on your collage kid auto. This is the place!

I liked this place, first time coming in and they were friendly and took good care of my car. Dale gave me a ride back to the shop once my car was ready, great customer service! Mechanic was really knowledgeable and answered my questions, will be coming back here.

I went in to fix my struts as they were not secure and shaking in place. It seems the service men in the front and even mechanics have no actual experience/knowledge and will tell you false information such as having rust, worn out parts, or lie about the root of the problem to make it easier for the technician as well as make more of a profit. After getting fed false information by the service men I then had the technician personally show me the issues wrong with my struts/springs. I proceeded to educate the mechanic telling him it looks like the mounts holding the struts are loose rather than it being the whole strut. I was then given inaccurate information that he was unsure if they are separate pieces and was pretty sure the whole two front struts still needed to be replaced as they are a whole piece adding up to $300 each. I personally know mounts are around $50 each and could easily tell this shop was trying to take advantage of me. DO NOT go to Fort Collins Muffler and Automotive, they just want to make profit off inexperienced people taking their car into service and will even take unethical approaches to get you to get work done.
