Public Defender

I was down and out, at my lowest point stuck in a filthy, county jail. Ryan Markus represented me and was extremely polished, compassionate, knowledgeable. He got me out of the most distressing situation I've ever been in. Amazing office. Email or call, be persistent-your life relies on it.

I hadn't heard from our son's assigned public defender for a couple of weeks and was waiting on news of getting an evaluation set up. I called today and found out it was his last day. I was never contacted about a change in attorney or anything that we were waiting on.

The worst place to get representation. Haley Benson and Jake Goldstein did not defend me the way they should have when I went to court and now I have a felony charge when there was evidence that somebody else instigated the situation and they fail to present that to the courts. Now my life is ruined and it was like pulling teeth just to even get a hold of them when they would never contact me on their own. I always had to contact them wondering what was going on with my case I was always told to wait and hold off until trial. Trial never happened they just sentenced me. They are unprofessional they will throw you under the bus and they just do not care about the people that are representing. We are just a number to them. But they get paid regardless they just want to get rid of you though if you try to fight back.

I don't know if this town tries to get you in trouble but I've been calling for a week trying to get a public defender. They won't answer the phone and you can't leave a message due to mailbox being full. Now my court date is a few days away and for some reason they're gonna make it my fault. Wow
