Its a start hike point to bear lake, emerald lake and Haiyaha lake. 0.4 mile hike to bear lake. 2.5 mile hike to emerald lake. 2.5 mile (from starting point, 2.5 mile detour from emerald lake) to lake haiyaha. We visited on May first week. Its like 2-3 feet snow all over, but its open and hike-able. All the lakes fully covered with snow and you can literally walk on these lakes. People who wanted to experience hike on snow will surely love this. Refer attached photos and videos. Disclaimer: its really really slippery as the snow became ice. Plan to have snow chains on shows or snow shoes which are provisioned with spikes. I did it with Nike shoes without realizing it, and I really regretted my decision. But it was fun because I literally ice skated while coming down with the shoes.

Nice station. The rangers are extremely friendly! I would park at the park and ride and take the shuttle in. There isnt a lot of parking and sometimes a ranger turning cars away in front. They have a small shop with essentials and a few items. Plenty of bathrooms here too.

Bathrooms a plenty. Like 10. And there is WATER HERE!!! use it. There is NO water down the mountain were you park - there were people trying to sell water down there but it is not needed at all. Rangers here were very pleasant. At 11AM as we were leaving it was a mad house. Do not try to park up here - there must have been 20 cars just waiting for one spot.
