TLDR; Worst example of communication and customer service I have experienced in some time. In summary, unprofessional, unreliable and a cold communicator. --- Regrettably, my experience with this CPA has been disheartening, marked by poor communication and lackluster customer service. Throughout the process, I encountered a noticeable lack of professionalism and reliability, coupled with a detached communication style. Despite providing my documents promptly, communication from their end was sporadic at best, leaving me uninformed about the progress. Upon receiving the initial draft, it was riddled with simple errors, primarily data entry mistakes that shouldn't have occurred given the straightforward nature of my tax situation. Engaging a professional was meant to alleviate the burden and ensure accuracy, yet I found myself questioning whether my return would have been filed correctly had I not intervened. Expressing my concerns yielded little response. Detailed feedback on the draft was met with prolonged periods of silence, only to receive a brief acknowledgment weeks later, indicating he would address it at his convenience. As the tax deadline loomed closer, I reached out again, seeking assurance that my return would be filed on time. The response I received was disappointingly curt, telling me that "it is time for me to find someone else as he will not do anything for me". This abrupt dismissal left me startled and disillusioned. It appears that any form of inquiry or challenge is met with hostility, suggesting a disregard for client concerns. It's evident that their capacity to deliver falls short of the expected standard for a professional in their field. In the interest of fairness, I would urge this CPA to reflect on their approach to client interactions and workload management.

Michael is a competent accountant, but minimal communicator. We had a tax planning meeting in December and still got hit with a $15,000 tax bill despite Michaels assurances that we had paid sufficient estimates. When we asked him how this happened he did not take responsibility. He also said he would support Quickbooks for our small business when we hired him but changed his policy because QB is a pain. In short, Michael does not like to deal with messiness. So use him if your taxes are straightforward as he has good wisdom, but not if your situation will cause any unpleasantness. UPDATE: So far we have had errors and additional funds required from CO and Ks and on the business; so Michael is looking less and less competent.

I have just left Michael's services and two things to note: Anthony Altom, listed here as recommending Michael works for him. Communicating with Micheal is extremely difficult--I found myself having to figure out how to placate him so he would give me at least some of the information I needed. His support staff seem to be scared or at best intimidated of him so don't want to ask him questions. There are other issues that are exactly what other reviewers on Google describe so I won't go into here. Maybe Michael was different a few years ago--when some of these reviews were written.

If you're running a business this guy's not your accountant. Save your self sleepless nights and find someone else with integrity and communication. Worst example of an accountant

WOW. Taxes have never been so easy. I am always late on the draw and am always accommodated with the extension. My tax documents are returned in a bound book, organized. This year it included pre addressed envelopes to mail in state and federal payments. Thank you Michael and your team!!!
