I had Sealwize do our deck about 3 yrs ago who sold me about the chemical properties guaranteed to protect the wood from deterioration. Well on a newly built deck we wanted to last so we were sold. A 25 yr warranty, we now know to be too good to be true. We noticed the wood stopped beading after the first week and they came out and reapplied. It was beautiful for about 1 yr before it stopped beading and then started weathering so bad it began to splinter. We cleaned it yearly as directed with soapy water and a soft brush, but it continued to worsen. I finally called for a warranty concern and was told $400 to 'clean and reapply' was recommended, which didn't even include resanding or replacing the badly splintered wood. I demanded someone come out and look, finally the rep came out and took some photos dropped some droplets that soaked in 'which was normal beading' and was told again to pay for a refresh application, but he would talk it over and call me back - 4 weeks later nothing. They also told me the product is inside the wood and may not accept normal staining - so now I have to repay a professional to resand and try. Waste of money!
