I just love Michelle. She has a wonderful personality and I love her pup groot. She has cut my hair a couple of times and remembered exactly what I like after the first time. She did my hair for my wedding this past weekend and it was PERFECT! I will continue to use her for sure. She is well priced and doesn't push you into buying any products. Highly recommend her!

An ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE experience. Purchased a haircut/highlights package and had high expectations. My hair prior to the appointment was naturally dark brown and came midway down my back, and I requested blonde highlights (providing a picture of myself with them), bangs, and for three inches to be cut off the length. She began with the color, talking incessantly about everything from her issues with her sister, to her health battles, to her sons drug problems. Perhaps this is why she was so distracted, repeatedly ran out of color, and ultimately did such a horrendous job. Whatever the case, after two plus hours, she removed my foils to reveal brassy copper highlights. My cut involved her taking a razor from my bangs to the ends and creating an awful shaggy/feathered look reminiscent of the 80s. I was very clear that I wanted one length and was horrified to find that the front of my hair, essentially cut on the diagonal, was a million different lengths that will take forever to grow out. Whats more, the sides were uneven, the length almost at my shoulders (well above where it was supposed to be), and some of my bangs had been cut to an inch short, making me look like Id been set upon by a toddler with a pair of scissors. I expressed my upset and she told me she could fix it if I was willing to return the next day. That was fine, but I said I'd need to leave by 12:30pm for a meeting. We agreed then that we would settle the payment once my hair had been fixed. However, a couple of hours later, I received a notification indicating that she went ahead and processed my certificate that same day. (Not an issue if shed provided the service for which I paid.) The next morning, she told me shed contacted the makers of the dye (which she had only recently begun using, after watching a bunch of YouTube videos during the pandemic) and got a new formula to mix the color and change my highlights to blonde. Nothing could be done about the cut; shed misunderstood. So, her fix for my bangs was to cut more of them; theyre now way too thick and the inch long area in the center remains obvious. After three additional hours in the chair, I was devastated to see that rather than highlights, the entire top of my hair was now orange. Her response? It was my hormones. Yes. She literally told me that because I was now in my forties, it was the result of menopause and that it was the downside to being a woman. What?! Astounded, I told her Id never had any kind of issue and that her assertion was crazy. She then said that sometimes the color just doesnt come out the way you want. It happens. Her solution was to offer to bleach my hair after her next client, as thats the only way to get it blonde. I declined and said I wanted her to take my hair back to its natural color, as I had a meeting in an hour and looked ridiculous. I was also moving out of state just three days later and didnt have any more time (or trust) to devote to the problem. So, she applied a brown color -- I requested she use her old dye brand, but she said didnt have enough and asked me to wait outside while she cut her next clients hair. After waiting for 30 minutes, I made the decision to drive home at 12:50 in order to rinse my hair and (only just) make my meeting. Sadly, it's still not close to the color it was prior to this fiasco. I even had it colored (darker) brown a second time, but the underlying orange persists. Thus, after spending over six hours with her, my hair was for all intents and purposes, ruined. The cut was a total hack job (Im forced to wear it up every day), and I didn't even get the highlights I paid for. Worst of all? She never once apologized. Not. Once. In fact, she became defensive and argumentative, and offered a long list of excusesit was the dye, it was my age, she needed bleach, I wasnt clear on the length, the inch long bangs only looked bad because of the way my hair parts. Absolutely ridiculous. Worst experience Ive ever had with a hair stylist, and if I could award negative stars, I would. Services: Haircut, Hair highlighting, Hair coloring
