Im not a universalist Unitarian, although my grandfather was - but thats not the point of my poor review. Ive never gone to this church but this Sunday is the third time Ive been hit by a drunk driver coming out of their parking lot on Hampden in the last 10 years. So maybe they should lower the alcohol level for communion or at least remind their parishioners to not not drive if theyre drunk

The members of this Church that I know personally are doing a wonderful outreach service program for the homeless population offering Safe Parking for those who live in their vehicle in their Church's community......God Bless

First Universalist Church of Denver has been my spiritual home since 2017 and has helped heal the wounds caused by being badly damaged emotionally after having spent 25+ years in a fundamental Christian congregation where love was not the spirit of the church and service was not its law. Judgment, however, was very high on their list of priorities. First U has taught me to be tolerant and welcoming of views that I might not necessarily hold. One of the Principles that Unitarian Universalists adhere to is A free and responsible search for truth and meaning. In other churches that was never an option, searching and finding my own truth and meaning. What a concept! First Universalist recently held a womens gathering and was incredibly inclusive with this language included in the invitation: This event is an event aimed at the experience of women+. We are welcoming and respectful of women, including trans women and those who are nonbinary, gender non-conforming, femme, and anyone who identifies as a woman in a way that is significant to them. This event is open to adult and young adult women. Now THAT is an inclusive and welcoming church. Bravo, First Universalist!
