The employees at Lutheran Family Services are very friendly and helpful. My school is doing a project making hygiene kits for migrants, and Chad Corman came to talk to us. He taught us about the migrant crisis, and also about what Lutheran family services were doing.

Chad from Lutheran Family Services came to our school and changed my perspective on migration. We did a game where basically, our classes split up into four different areas, and one of the groups couldn't talk at all but we were able to do nothing and another group had to do push-ups and couldn't talk at all just that was my group and another group had candy and stuff and there was a border of backpacks and at the end, he asked us well why didn't you guys go across the border and get candy and he said because we didn't think we were allowed to and that made me realize why people were migrating and it made me realize that some country don't have the same rights as us. Our school also partnered with Lutheran families to provide welcome baskets and hygiene baskets to welcome immigrants into our community who have nothing and we are helping them get ready for the world

Lutheran Family Services offers excellent support to migrant families. Chad Corman, Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator, led an engaging activity that showed why people migrate and demonstrated what the migrants went through when they arrived at our school. The resources provided by the organization were highly useful and helped us to organize a fundraiser for the migrants.
