After our precious baby girl was stillborn at 31 weeks, I didn't know where to turn or what to do. I was utterly hopeless. I found myself unable to get therapy through my health insurance for about 4-5 months, and my maternity leaves being retroactively denied. I was not only overcome by grief from the loss of our daughter, but it felt impossible to find support of care when when my family needed it most. I am so fortunate to of found Angel Eyes, and I cant say enough good things about them. They took care of my family during our darkest times. The day I called, I saw a therapist that night. They helped me navigate FMLA so I could take time to grieve and recover. When we couldnt afford our housing payment from me being on unpaid leave, they helped. Its been four months since we lost our daughter, and I still am being provided free grief therapy and credit them to why I am probably still here and didnt end it all. If you know a family/individual dealing with the loss of their baby, please let them know about this organization or call/email them. There is incredible support for us in Colorado. Love this place, loved volunteering for them, the oldest non profit in the city and they do amazing work for Mothers of children who lost their lives to SIDS. I love these remarkable, kind, empathetic, women!
