        UPDATE: Came for dim sum and was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in quality. The large dining room is perfect for cart service and the quality and variety of items is really good for Denver. Initial review: The Empress has been a reliable Cantonese restaurant for a few decades now, even through ownership changes. The large banquet room creates a nice bustling atmosphere, especially on the weekends when dim sum is served on cart. To be honest the dim sum is just ok, but for many Denver Chinese, its nostalgic for big family meals. Def prefer going for dinner and ordering dishes like seafood chow mein, crispy pork, and walnut shrimp.
