The Custom Foot

Got my boots molded here. Andrew put sharpie And lipstick over where my boots needed to be punched out. Brand new boots and gave them back covered in marks And stains. Told me to fix it my self. The punch out job was mediocre at best. Not surprising to see them closed.

Andrew made a pair of cycling orthotics for me, after I told him my big toe hurt badly. He said contact him with any problems. I experienced worse pain with his orthotics and called him. I left numerous messages and sent several emails without any response. This guy does NOT stand behind his work. I cannot use costly orthotics at all.

I bought boots from him and paid for custom insoles and fitting ($1300 total). When I showed up for initial fitting appt no one was there. The people in the ski shop arrested to it said that happens a lot. He finally showed up and did the normal fitting (that any shop does). After skiing the boots I needed one my my toeboxes widened. I called him at least 10 times. He never returned any of my calls. This place is not worth the money. Don't be fooled by the promise of a guaranteed fit. I ended up paying another boot fitter to fix the issue. I had a great experience with the person who owned this place 6 years ago, the guy who owns it now is horrible.

I was recommending this to a friend and saw several one star reviews. Those are bogus. Ive got a messed up foot and went to the "other boot guy in Boulder" and it was like an assembly line. College kids trying to fit me with no experience and more focused on getting the line of people down. I went to Andrew and he let me know that given my big toe box, tiny ankle and big calf I shouldve been in a low volume boot with some extra work to make room. He apologized for the fact that I had bought a boot for a lot of money that didnt fit, said he would do his best to take the space up where it needed to be, and then told me the boot I should buy when I was ready to make another big investment. He did the best he could with the boot I had purchased, several years later bought the boot he told me to, and Im skiing that boot today with minimal adjustments. This guy rocks. I have no clue why anyone has ever given him less than five stars if they actually listen to him. It can be a complicated process, but hell work with you. Great guy. Great service.
