image They gave me the wrong type of therapist, and they don't get in touch after claiming they assigned me a new one. I've been trying all week to get scheduled, with no luck. I'm about to give up.

image I tried to locate my brother who has been a patient there for over 20 yrs and the main receptionist woman treated me like i had no right to locate him..that was over 5 yrs ago now..the ppl who work there are very rude to family trying to locate a family mbr lost in the system..Their staff is the worst. At this point I will have to go over their collective heads and call the State and make a complaint to get any info as to where my Brother is in their system and maybe get the local media involved as well

image I had a very traumatic experience here, perpetrated by a therapist, her chain of command, and the executive director's assistant/patient advocate. I am not paranoid, delusional or any kind of addict. They continued to cause great harm for months afterward, and seemed to delight in it. They laughed at me. These are not good people. They have no business around any kind of patient. Horrible, narcissistic monsters.

image Mental Health Center of Denver illegal behavior 02/26/19
Hello,
I was employed with Mental Health Center of Denver, full-time, since 2014. I was a valued employee, gained promotions, worked in two group homes, no performance issues, and even became a Case Manager. During my employment there, I was exposed to a toxic work environment, unsafe working conditions, a management team that is not afraid to retaliate against their employees, and currently struggle with diagnosed PTSD after working there. Also, they even a Union in place to protect employees. I believe that this is the only Mental Health organization in the state that has a Union.
In September of 2016, there was a violent shooting outside of one of the group homes I was doing an overnight shift on. This had scared me and I ended up asking my Co-worker about his thoughts on self-protection; because of his ex-military background. He then informed me that mace is a good alternative and it is cheap with a good range. I thanked him for his advice and purchased mace.
However, this individual and I weren't on good terms due to his constant bullying and unprofessional ism; despite my nice friendly treatment towards him. As his bullying statements continued, I outreached my manager for a scheduled mediation to discuss his behavior; however, events turned that would forever change my life.
Instead of coming to me directly, I received a call from my manager, Emily, the day before the scheduled mediation. She claimed I could not return to work and was forcefully placed on FMLA. She then said that I could not return to work until I completed a psychiatric evaluation called a "Certification of Fitness for Duty." The evaluation they gave me literally described me as a schizophrenic and said I could not return to work until I was cleared. I saw a professional, got the Union involved, and was cleared to return to work immediately. I do not have a history of mental illness, was a valued employed, and had no performance issues or discipline. This was clear, vicious retaliation, discrimination and I still have the documentations.
Ultimately, after I completed this evaluation, I then had beg to meet with the head of HR (after he began dodging Union rep emails) to plead and advocate for my job. Of course I told them what a mistake this was, but these psychiatric "professionals" had me actually believing that I was impaired. The head of HR literally also attempted to cut my hours before I could return stating, “this is what we do when something like this happens.” I then informed him that I would not be intimated with his scare tactics and requested a transfer to a different group home. Then after getting Union reps to help mediate the situation, I eventually was transferred to a different group home.
However, I worked there for an additional six months, but I was continuously harassed by management, treated "different" and eventually quit due to burn out. A manager literally pulled me aside and ask me if I was hearing voices. Prior to this incident, I never had any concerns, questions, issues, not any thought towards concerns regarding my mental health.
After working there for 3 years, I am not the only member they have retaliated against. I worked with a nurse there who is now my dear friend. They used similar tactics against her. I found her to be an amazing nurse and was highly professional and still is to this day. However, when she started pointed out major issues within the company, they wrote her up three days in a row and forced her to quit. To this day she will state, "Something happened to me there and I am not the same person.” There are numerous accounts of employees that they retaliate against, harass, and attempt to ruin careers if you even remotely cause a problem for them.
Please help me bring them to justice.
Thank you,
Andrew Jeske
