My husband and I used Company KD to help us with the remodel of our existing home and for a new build in Summit County, CO. The work for both was performed during the height of Covid, but that didnt slow the team down and all work was performed in time and within budget. Kristi and team are able to provide incredibly high quality design without spending a clients money unnecessarily. They understood my sense of style and the feel I wanted for both homes and were able to execute on that impeccably. They took care of things that I had no idea needed to be done (for example, the tile design/layout for a fireplace), nor would have had the expertise or interest in doing, while involving and collaborating with me on the fun stuff (furniture and accessory selection, paint and tile selection etc). They acted as intermediaries between my husband and I and our contractor, builder, and numerous other vendors, and always acting with our best interests in mind. They were always professional and respectful and as a result, have built longstanding relationships with craftspeople, rug dealers, furniture sellers, artists and so many others in the area who are critical to residential design. As the result of the hard work and aesthetic sensibilities of Company KD, our homes are truly one of a kind in terms of interior design while still remaining true to our casual lifestyle filled with dogs and (now adult) kids, family and friends. All who have seen our homes comment on how beautifully designed yet comfortable they are. Kristi and team deserve all of the credit. They are the best! Kristi is so talented and fun to work with! She has a great eye and is especially great with mixing colors and textures. She creates truly unique and stunning interiors. We have worked with Kristi on multiple projects and she is simply the best! We had a very disappointing experience with Company KD. While we were very excited to embark on this project after our initial sessions with Kristi and Susan, we encountered many project management issues such as incorrect furniture being delivered (we, as the client, had to point out the error), damaged furniture being delivered (again, we had to point out the damage) resulting in delays and multiple additional deliveries to coordinate, insufficient wallpaper being ordered resulting in prolonged disruption in our home due to contractors being unable to finish on the original timeline, etc. When we concluded the project, only part of our deposit was returned, and we had to point out the error. Company KD did not take responsibility for any of these mistakes or the poor performance of some of their subcontractors. We were very excited to undertake this significant project with Company KD, but instead we were left dealing with the consequences of the mistakes that were made and poor customer service throughout.
