Lisha Lopez is an amazing technician through the HCV program. If you are a port-in to Denver county, cross your fingers you get her as your assigned technician! She was super supportive and accommodative to my needs, and she responded to emails very promptly! She is very easy to talk to if anything may arise, I couldnt have asked for a better technician when I was in Denver county. Thank you Lisha for all you do! I hope DHA keeps her on staff for a long time!

If you are landlord who gets approached by a renter who is using the Denver Housing Authority to pay for the rent, you cannot legally tell them no. But you should. Ive been waiting for DHA to pay their portion of the rent for nearly four months. Just slowly depleting my propertys maintenance fund so god forbid if my renters break something, I wont be able to fix it. I understand no kid says, when I grow up I really want to work at the housing authority office. But there a minimal expectations that should be met.

The overall attitude and character of the organization first starts with the supervisors who oversee the staff. When the supervisors themselves are using evasive tactics, telling outright lies, and condoning poor client treatment, the entire organization itself is then deemed deplorable and corrupt. Clients should not be lied to and they should have the right to have housing available at a reasonable time. Instead, the staff get away with sidestepping their duties, neglecting certain cases, and have no accountability in regards to returning phone calls and emails. I hope someone of an upright character will take leadership and improve the operation of this governmental organization called the Denver Housing Authority. Otherwise, taxpayers' money is going to waste.
