        I just want to give 5stars because I was having a hard time and I called to get my loved one a follow up appointment and the girl ( I think her name was Aspen)on the phone was super kind and helpful. She really made my experience great and I can't thank her enough for the unique phone experience.

        This system of providers at NJH has made it absolutely impossible to be referred to anyone. At least one of the clinics in the system has determined that potential patients cannot contact the clinic directly. However, the same clinic, rejects referrals from referring practices, and yet will not provide the potential patient the reason for rejection. All messages go through a main switchboard, and not a referrals department. Requests to be connected to the referrals department are either rejected, or when sent to the referrals department, the phone is never picked up in that department. If there were awards given for poor communication between potential patients, referring providers, and clinics - this center wins the award for the most difficult system (if one can call it that) to navigate. The system actually puts itself at risk having main switchboard operators try to work an impossibly complicated communication system. Most persons are familiar with "The Telephone Game" as an example of how verbal communication is distorted as it is passed along. Such is the case with this hospital. Choose wisely should you wish to enter into such a swirl of confusion.

        The oncology department at National Jewish handled my mother's chemotherapy treatment and did an absolutely wonderful job. Her doctors and nurses showed such care and patience during our time with them and answered every question she had. I'm so grateful she was able to work with such a wonderful and compassionate team during such a tough time.
