I haven't always experienced everything perfect with JFS but I've never regretted signing up with them after a misunderstanding with family left me alone at home to recover from major surgery. They help me in so many ways, it's remarkable what a difference they have made for me.

The rose that was left on my doorstep reminded me of how integral JFS is to our neighborhood, and the wellbeing of our elderly (that would be me), along with all the various groups that come to them for assistance. The world comes to their door and they open it. What other food bank puts coffee out for all of us. (hundreds). This place shares more Love than is needed to balance out the Chaos. The phone is answered by a woman kind enough to OFFER to find out for me if I was eligible to come to the food bank today, since I couldn't remember if I had been there twice this month. (It is my day to remember my name and birthdate, so other details were not easily accessible lol.) Their food bank has a lot of organic produce and individuals remember what food allergies you have! Whole Foods across Hampden and Trader Joe's are major contributors to their stock, and farmers also supply us with fresh vegetables. There is a brigade of volunteers to help who come from all parts of town. None need doubt our future with people like them and a place like this.

I've been using the food bank resources for two years and I've never had a bad experience. They do so much for the local community and the selection and produce are very good.

JFS Denver advertises services which it does not actually provide. You go through intake and then NOTHING. I also had the same experience 3 years ago as described in N.Langs post from 1 year ago.
