Alexis Michopoulos, D.O.

Dr. Michopoulos is amazing in so many ways. She is brilliant medically, very diligent in care for her patients. Additionally she has continue to educate herself about hormones specifically for women, as well as functional medicine tools that benefit all of her patients. There are very few people besides Dr. Michopoulos who I would want taking care of me or my loved ones

Dr. Michopoulos tuned into the sources of my nerve pain and gave me great advice and treatments which helped make my nerve pain much less bothersome. She checks in with me regularly which makes me feel that she is committed to the complete resolution of my nerve pain. I dont know of any other doctor who does that! Thank you Dr. Michopoulos!

dr. michopoulos has become the wind under my winds of wellness. she invests herself deeply and has taken so much time and care to truly listen to me and listen to my body- even when i don't. because of her, i have made monumental lifestyle changes and was only a little terrified as i knew she was there for every step of it. she miraculously holds me accountable while validating all of my emotions but perserving my free will. i genuinely do not think i have ever trusted a doctor before as i do with her. i am a big "why?" person and she makes sure to tend to all of my thousands of questions with honesty. she is approachable and accommodating and kind but also ridiculously funny and loves dogs. what else could you ask for?

Dr Alexis is the best physician I have ever encountered as a patient. She CARES and makes time to hear what is going on in my body. She has seen me through something as simple as lower back pain to telling me I had breast cancer and helping me find the surgeon and oncologist necessary to help me survive that 18 month treatment. So, I have experienced quite a few doctors. She is challenging the current healthcare model of 15 minute appointments and is willing to focus on me and my well being. That is something that is important to me and I feel so lucky to have found her and made her an integral part of my life and health!

I reached out to Dr. Alexis Michopoulos on the recommendation of a friend. I had been feeling exhausted and feeling let down by my primary care physicians who just kept blowing me off because my bloodwork was normal and being in my early forties, I was just likely experiencing symptoms of perimenopause. No one ever offered real sympathy or solutions. So, I continued on for a couple years explaining away my symptoms and feelings until I reached a breaking point. That was when I met Dr. Alexis. I am not exaggerating when I say that she changed my life. My first appointment was an hour and a half zoom meeting and I left feeling more seen than I ever have by any doctor in my life. More importantly, I left with hope. She explained that falling in the normal values of traditional bloodpanels, was actually not normal for many women. She helped me see that I was not going crazy and that there were actual physiological reasons for how I was feeling. We pursued outside testing and found MANY areas where I was deficient and came up with ways to address each one. We came up with a plan, together, that was unique to my situation and needs and addressed the root of the issues rather than covering up the symptoms with a band-aid. It didnt happen overnight but after a couple months I am feeling better than I have in YEARS. Even more important to me, I have a new-found respect for my body and for my own intuition. I would send a friend, a co-worker, my own mother to see Dr. Alexis. She has changed my expectations for the kind of care I will seek out for my daughter. Dr. Alexis is a gift to the Colorado medical community and I hope that others will follow her lead and change the way human medicine is practiced moving forward.
