        If I could leave zero stars I would. I'm dying at home because nobody else will treat me but because of my bmi acute Denver won't help. I've now just thrown in the towel and accepted my fate. I have no other choice since this was my last option. Very disappointing.

        I had fallen very ill from a couple illnesses, which left me severely malnourished. I also had dealt with ARFID since I was a kid. I was accepted almost immediately here after my nutritionist suggested it. Everyone here was extremely open minded, caring, knowledgable, accommodating, and just overall comforting and wonderful. I look back very fondly on my time here, and am blessed to have been able to meet every CNA I did. Life long amazing memories and funny memes. Jordan and Lizzie, I miss you both, you are wonderful, kind hearted, funny people. I don't know what I would have done without you both. The food is AMAZING, the routines are great and reasonable, the painting tunnel is one of my favorite memories. The only issue I had was we didn't really have a step down plan for me, since my case was very unique, but I ended up returning home after refusing ERC (I was there for four hours). My illnesses have unfortunately left me sick again, but I'm under care and diagnosed correctly now (lyme disease sucks!). I appreciate everyone here and the care that goes into every patient. You are all wonderful and you saved my life. I could never thank you enough.

        Acute is an amazing place with the best providers who truly care about each patient. The treatment is individualized to fit your needs, rather than a "one size fits all" approach that other places have. I can honestly say that I would not be as far in my recovery without Acute.

        This facility is one of the few that also helps 30+ age group and takes clients with G-tubes due to severe malnutrition due to eating disorders. It would have helped my condition immensely.but they will not accept Medicaid. When youre at the severity of needing feeding tubes just to livehow can you work enough to receive insurance? So disheartening

      We understand that access to quality healthcare is incredibly important for those suffering from an eating disorder. With patients at ACUTE coming from all over the nation via air-ambulance to receive our care, ACUTE's in-network insurance panels provide the resources necessary to operate ACUTE as a nationally designated Center of Excellence. The policies for Medicaid and Medicare unfortunately will not cover the enhanced system of care we provide at ACUTE, so we cannot accept these plans.In an effort to advocate for patients with Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare, we have certain staff members at ACUTE who serve as leaders with the Eating Disorders Coalition advocating on Capitol Hill for insurance changes to support all people in need of eating disorder care. We know the need and are trying to help advocate for Medicaid and Medicare to cover the costs of enhanced eating disorder treatment.Additionally, our admissions team can provide you with referral resources to help find access to other programs around the nation that are able to accept insurance plans that we cannot.
