the dj was below average. He messed up the names and orders or our wedding party. He also would not take requests unless we (the bride and groom) ok'ed it. So every time a guest requested a song they were told to come ask us (annoying). My dad wanted to say something to the guests and the DJ told him that he would have to ask us.... never would i think that it is not ok for a brides father to say a speech. Finally i went to the dj and basically told him that people can request whatever they like. Unfortunatly I found out that many of the requested songs were not played. Even songs that my husband had asked to hear. The dj also did not have the correct song for the father daughter dance even though we had sent in the "list" prior to the event. Now although i did not let this ruin our night it was frustrating in hindsight.
Moving on to the videographer situation. WOW NEVER EVER USE THEM. The dj called us 2 weeks prior to the wedding as well as our photographer (who i booked through YELLOW PADDLE they were awesome). However about a week before the wedding i realized that i still hadn't heard from the videographer. keep in mind we booked a DJ and Videographer with this company 7 months prior to our wedding. So i emailed the owner expressing my consern.I received a call 2 DAYS before my wedding. It was a videographer who informed me that he had JUST been hired that day to do my wedding. He said that he was a freelancer. The guy ended up being very nice however his work was in no way like the videos that we saw on the website...again he was a freelancer.
then we get our wedding DVD's and they do not play propperly on either of our dvd players or flat screens. They were scratchy and clearly made in poor quality. After putting up a tiff with the editor who is in NY they had me return the discs only to inform me that there was nothing wrong with them and that it must be my players. All three yeah right. The editor told me that their discs are made with a laser and require specific players to work properly. Seriously what kind of excuse is that? They put the footage on a hdmi drive and sent it back along with the discs. A very frustrating situation when all i wanted was to be able to look back at our wedding day.
Like i said this was the only bad company we used. All other aspects of our wedding were amazing. Do your research when picking your vendors. Good luck to anyone who chooses to go with this company.
