I go on the "off-days" with the part timers & even that group is excellent; the dentist is thoughtful with their communication, assistants are a Wealth of knowledge and don't seem bothered at all by my desire to get the most out of my dental care. I had a hiccup with my first visit, and the owner reached out to make it right. Everyone deserves grace & life happens to us all; I'm impressed with their responsiveness and their desire to do right by their patients.

Dr. Lowery is a straight shooter and really nice guy. He took extra time to answer my questions and make sure I understood the ins and outs of my care. His staff are also extremely accommodating and competent. Its been a long time since Ive had dental care this good.

I've seen Dr. Lowery and his team twice now and I have nothing but great feedback. I originally went in to have adjustments made after some not so great dental work and Dr. Lowery was extremely patient and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions & did not rush me at all. He also fixed the issue I was experiencing and helped validate that my tooth pain was real and there was a prior mistake made at another dental practice.
After that I decided to go to him as my regular dentist. I can confidently say I am happy with my decision and I feel like I am in great hands with Dr. Lowery and the entire staff.
My cleaning by the dental hygienist was very thorough & she talked me through the cleaning with recommendations for how to care for my teeth/gums at home. I also saw another dental assistant who was very professional and listened to my concerns when needing to get additional sealants drilled down. He was able to address/fix every tooth I felt like I needed adjusting. I am very happy with the results and the overall treatment by the staff.
Based on my experience I feel like Governor's Park Dental Group cares about the integrity of my teeth and will continuously make informative & personalized recommendations to help me keep my teeth healthy. They also listened and addressed any and all concerns I had, which is unfortunately hard to find these days!
If you're looking at going to some of the large commercialized dental groups - don't waste your time or money. I would recommend a locally owned place like this. The patient care is absolutely unmatched.
Also Dr. Lowery has the cutest French Bulldog you get to hang out with while visiting the office :)
I will 100% be returning for future cleanings and dental work.

I started seeing this Dr. Lowery and my experience with him and a couple of his staff has been exceptional. Linda was great! There were a couple experiences with staff where I had a less than stellar experience.
They were very accommodating with getting me in quickly and my cleanings complete. I ended up deciding to get Invisalign since I was planning on it. While my experience has been pleasant, I am positive you can get a more reasonable price elsewhere. Total, my Invisalign cost was about $6500, and I only have nine trays which will be completed in about three months. After doing some research and asking friends in the industry, my treatment should have been $3000 (that is being gracious with adding in extra fees). It's all over and done, but if you are on a budget, I would look elsewhere for Invisalign (I have insurance that covered some of it). When I came in to get my first set of trays, the staff member was not extremely clear and it appeared as if additional fees would be added at the end when my treatment was over (even though I was told after I paid upfront everything was included). She got a bit snippy and I added that what the contract was saying I would be charged for was included. My second check in appointment was fine, except for the fact the staff member didn't know how many days I needed to wear my trays for. Not a huge deal, but made me feel as if she didn't know what she was doing.
UPDATE 1/2/2024:
Ever since this review, it appears the service I receive has gone downhill. I have attempted to make follow up appointments for a new set of aligners, but I cant seem to get anyone on the phone to schedule my visit. Ive also recently gotten bills for over $2,000 where they get sent out on a Friday after hours, so I cant call anyone until the following Monday. After calling, they say its a billing error, and I dont owe anything. This has now happened twice and is extremely frustrating since I always ask if I owe anything before leaving the office.

Went to this dental practice after finding it through my insurance company. Two solid points its favor, it is walking distance from my home and accepts my insurance, which not many practices do. I was in quite a bit of pain and called for an appointment but had to wait two days to be seen. I had an 8 AM appointment and arrived 10 minutes early, only to find no one in reception. I had to wait at least 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged me or the other two patients waiting. The dental tech took x-rays which revealed a real infection horror show that my longtime dental office completely missed at my last appointment. A self-described part time employee (not sure of his position) interpreted the x-ray to tell me I was likely in for an unfortunate situation, got me a prescription for an antibiotic and a referral to an endodontist so I was out of there pretty quickly. I got what I came in for and for that I'm grateful. The place just seemed considerably more disorganized than any other practice I've ever visited so I'm not real confident about returning; we'll see how it goes with the endodontist and what he says, if anything, about the practice.
