First of all, I didnt know Ulta had a hair salon. That should have been my first clue that it wouldnt be a professional hair salon. I was very hesitant when I saw all young girls working. I should have left, but then the stylist who came to greet me was an older lady. I thought she was the experienced one. She sounded knowledgeable and seemed to understand what I wanted. (Full highlights and a lighter roots/base color.) Well, I was wrong. She ended up making my highlights and roots/base the same color. It was all ONE brassy mess.
I went back to get it re done by her a week later. It came out exactly the same way. (She tried again, and again, and once more.) 5 hours later, it looked somewhat acceptable. *I could finally differentiate between my base color and highlights.* Plus, it had been 5 hours and my hair couldnt take any more.
Then she actually had the audacity to TRY to charge me for low lights($60), when she was the one who made my hair one color, twice! I mean, how else could she correct my hair?! I have never been charged for a redo of hair services, in my life.
Now hair is fried, extra brassy in some areas and not all of my roots/base were covered. My hair is several different shades and is so damaged. I wrote a complaint and got an email back saying I would be contacted but I havent been, as of yet. I am waiting a few weeks before getting my hair corrected, just to give it time to breathe.
I do NOT recommend this place! Especially do NOT get your hair done by Shannon Taylor.
