I bought a used transmission from this company in March that came with a 1 year warranty. The transmission had a bad throttle body. I reported it to Riverside who in turn asked if the transmission had been serviced and for receipts which I provided. In turn, they wanted the throttle body to be removed and cleaned. At this point, I felt I was sold a defective part and I would have had to pay my mechanic to clean a failing part and then put it back in and test it. My mechanic even spoke with them. With that in mind, I put a dispute on my credit card. My bank found that Riverside was willing to honor the warranty and put the charge back on my card. I went back to Riverside to see what they are willing to do. When I emailed them the receipt from my mechanic where I had to pay over $500.00 to repair the transmission and my money for the transmission should be returned. The reply I received was "With how it was handled with yelling and attitude and the credit card dispute to our account there are no options currently" Save yourself money and hassle and buy somewhere else! This company just wants to make excuses for selling defective parts. I worked for a tow company for twenty years and I know you can test a transmission even if the vehicle does not run to at least see if it has all the gears and shifts normally. This company must be ran by a bunch of sissy la las that have no clue about mechanics and want to treat the consumer as if they are ignorant.
