Payless Car Rental

Long history of rentals in Denver. This was by far the easiest and most efficient. Their facility is closest to the terminal and the checkout process was the fastest ever.

This rental service is a scam. They dont give you the car you paid for and find things to charge you for that dont apply. You do not get to do a final walkthrough with anyone at drop off either so they just charge you whatever they want.

$107 Extra charge appeared on my credit card 1 week after I returned the car with no explanation (Miscellaneous). It required a 45 minute phone call to get an explanation which was that I upgraded my car (false). I took the car they gave me. They agreed it was not a valid charge and credited my card. Never again.

The Pacifica E Hybrid was the best rental I have ever had. Love that vehicle and the service getting it was impeccable. Good job Payless.

This company is horrible. Do not rent from them or any company associated with them. We were hit by an uninsured motorist. We have Allstate insurance that covers uninsured motorists. Payless charged ridiculous administrative fees that were above what Allstate negotiated to pay out. The payment covered all damages but Payless added $700 in fees. Allstate said they have never had a rental company add on these type of fees of that go above and beyond the cost of repairs and loss. Allstate tried to collect from the uninsured motorist but of course they could not get anything so Allstate covered it. Then Payless sent it to collections while it was still being figured out by Allstate and without ever sending us a statement. Terrible customer service as we were not even able to get through to someone at Payless to ask about the fees. Not worth the $10 you might save.
