We walked in as they were closing shop. We would have left immediately but the lady behind the bar said, "wait we have those shots (as she glanced at the male bartender) left over we could serve you guys!" I thought, "Oh that's nice of them. Going out of their way like that. What nice people." The shot turned out to be cold gross stale coffee and we were then handed a hefty bill (there were 8 of us). When we asked if this was coffee they simply smirked at one another in what can only be described as a proud sense of satisfaction and superiority at tricking us. The situation was weird but also infuriating. For some reason the mean people who bartend this place tried being mean and putting a damper on our night but we ended up having fun elsewhere. Furthermore, I'm a native to Denver and am slowly coming to terms with the many people moving here gentrifying previously affordable neighborhoods with good caring people. But if you're a mean jerk looking to put others in the community down, stay away. In fact, move where there are no other humans. Finally, to the gross gross gross people who we unfortunately crossed paths with last night, go f*$@ yourselves.

Just not great... It has all the elements of a great place but the place fails. I saw the owner give someone with a big group here a hard time in front of guests... Just plain tacky and obvious he has no business being in the service industry. It should've been a phone conversation after the fact. I hope a better place opens shop in this location.

This is an extremely unique place where you can purchase much of the antique furniture that's around. The food is exceptional the the live jazz can't be beat. The nicely appointed back patio and dining room and a beautiful experience for any occasion.

What a quaint bar! The live jazz welcomes you into such a warm, friendly atmosphere! Ask Todd to make you a custom drink and make sure you go to the bar and watch him work his magic. It's absolutely mesmerizing and totally amazing how he comes up with his concoctions!
