        During the rain and wind storm last Friday, July 26, a very large tree fell from our yard and onto Hillcrest Drive in front of us. Public works were out to work on this very shortly after it happened. Although it took several hours during the storm, they cleared the road and had traffic running again. Bill Chick, the public works supervisor, was here and indicated they would be back to clean up debris. The morning, July 30th, a full crew and equipment was here to remove limbs, etc that had impeded the road. Can't begin to express our gratitude and how impressed we are with the department in Delta. Kind, courteous and prompt, outstanding!!!
