Did 3 jobs for us. First 2 OK but the stated cost for one included 8 hours work. Only spent 4 hours. We paid for 8. Latest job had a stated cost and agreed upon extras. Charged much more than agreed prices.
Conclusion. If the original given cost is high, you pay that even if the actual cost is less. If the original given and agreed cost is low, you pay much more whatever he decides.
