Matthews-Vu Medical Clinics

After taking my baby to centura urgent care he began to have more symptoms. I called Matthews Vu urgent care and was more reassured and given better advice than by going to centura urgent care in person. My children and I are also patients at the regular clinic and are always taken care of in every way. Specifically Dr Paver and Dr Houge are the best Drs I could hope for for my children.

To say this place lacks professionalism is an understatement. I brought my son (3years old) into the urgent care on 02/16/24 around 6pm. He had a fever, a wet cough and congested sinuses. He had thrown up earlier that day. Well I bring him in and they dont even have a pediatrician, just some PA or NP or whatever. This lady was so rude and unprofessional. She was trying to look into his throat and my son was crying and didnt want her near him (obviously, he doesnt feel good) so this female decides to get a tongue depressor which makes my son fight more, she proceeds to say well, if youd open your mouth wider, I wont have to use this in the rudest way. And she gets irritated that this 3 year old little boy isnt just doing everything she says so she just huffs and puffs and puts her ophthalmoscope away and she says I dont know what to tell you, he doesnt feel good I ask her what the nasal swabs come back as, and she says flu was negative and Covid was negative. And I ask about RSV, she tells me they dont test for that and its just a cold. Little does she know Im a respiratory therapist, and I literally treat people from neonates up to elderly who are hospitalized for RSV. She was very dismissive and arrogant. She showed the worst bedside manner, and she was very unprofessional. This is why I switched my primary care from Matthews Vu to UChealth. This individual does not need to be in the medical field, because she does not know how to treat people.I dont Remember her name but whoever she is, she needs to find another career path.

If you have a balance they will refuse to schedule you. If you have any health problems I wouldn't recommend coming here, they don't listen to you at all. I started reading their reports and it blew my mind how much they missed or just outright ignored. If you have your red card, you're still considered a recreational user and not a medical patient, this office doesn't believe in medical use. They don't take your problems seriously and will just have you take ONE test at a time, and follow up in 2+ months even if you tell them you're basically crippled and can't do anything. They'll tell you everyone struggles and to just walk it off. If you have no medical problems this is the place for you. If you actually have issues then good luck, and Liam Neeson isn't coming to save you.

Scheduled my appointment over a month in advance. I live almost 2 hours from the office and dont have reliable transportation. I had to pay for a ride all the way here and back just to not be seen. I was told that I had to reschedule bc they arent accepting new patients. I made the appointment over a MONTH in advance and made sure they were aware I hadnt been seen here before, they even called a week in advance to confirm and 24 hours before to confirm as well. Not a single time did they say they werent accepting new patients. I am now out $160 for rides and I still have to wait even longer to be seen, which is only worsening my medical condition. The lady called around to all other offices and told me theyd be waiting for me , i drive 30 minutes to the next office just to be told i have to make an appointment. Terrible. Ive now wasted $160 and 6 hours of my time.
