A few months ago, I received a cold call from a YESCO representative regarding my business and its non-functioning illuminated sign. The rep had noticed its lack of illumination during several drives past my business location, and was wondering if I would be interested in employing their services. However, this representative did not know his employer had already performed a sign repair service which failed less than 3 months after completion. On June 7, 2021, I paid YESCO $344.20 for their repair service to restore function to the illuminated sign above my place of business. I was pleased to see the sign finally working after nearly 8 years of non-functioning darkness for my establishment. However, this was to be short-lived, as the sign began to malfunction shortly after the repairs were supposedly implemented. Having seen the sign brightly lit during the early evening hours for the first couple of weeks as I walked to my car, I thought nothing more of the matter and simply drove home after work without checking on the sign's status afterwards. I had no idea the sign was already flickering and shutting off during the late hours, but was informed of the situation from customers after the sign's illumination failed completely. Seeing as the complete failure was noted after the standard, substandard 90 day period normally associated with the majority of warranted repair work, I filed the experience into my "Never Again" box and continued without a lit business sign. When the representative called me, clearly with the intent of generating more business revenue for his employer, I sensed he was taken aback when I responded to his offer with, "Well, I'd be interested in your services, as long as you're not YESCO; their repair has already failed." The caller asked me for the relevant information regarding my repair, which I cheerfully provided, and was informed he'd look into the matter. I was never called again. YESCO, you have been around for over a century, so you're clearly doing something right - but for this customer, YESCO earns the international "NO" stamp of disapproval.
