Zach's Place is a safe and comfortable child care center for special needs children and their siblings. I used their services when my special needs son was school aged, and they gave me back the ability to work.

Edit: we used to love this place but not until the past couple months do not bring your kids here. LOVE this place. My son who is autistic, started going there early September and the staff are all amazing. I already know my son loves going there because every morning he says Mommy, I want to go to daycare I highly recommend this place to anyone with children with special needs!

Get a call from my sons mother today, and she is beyond distraught. Her sister went to pick up our son, and next to his stuff was a "incident form". No phone call was given to the mother, to me, or to any fainly member in regards to this. The incident report stated that my son was screaming because he was upset, bit his knee, and was then put in restraints to stop more physical harm, all within five mintues. When you see that kind of negative reaction from a child (especially one with disabilities) you try to talk to them, pick them up, distract them, or if you have exhausted all other options YOU CALL HIS FREAKING PARENTS, but you don't use physically restraints against him because he bit his knee. HE DOESNT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO HIM. If anything you have caused my child ptsd and you will be hearing from my lawyer as I am beyond disturbed by your actions. 1. You don't call the parents 2. You put my son in restraints and don't state that you did anything else to stop his screaming 3. You put my disabilitie son in restraints and I don't see any reason why you would result to that before exhausting other options. 4. Don't even talk to the parents after this "incident report" To all of those who are considering this place. Please think about how you want your special needs child to be treated. My son has screamed before but by getting down to his level and talking to him, I can calm him down. The people at this institution decided it was not worth the time to take a humanitarian approach to problem solving but yet a barbaric display of power. I am so sick right now and shaking with anger at this place.

Super disappointed in this place, I was told by a supervisor they would get my boys in for the summer time so I had asked my caseworker from TRE to get the ball rolling & to send over our plan of care for both boys to receive respite several months ago because I was willing to wait till summer since Zachs place had said they could take them on, Zachs Place put together 2 lengthy packets for me to fill out on both boys & in the packets it said the Doctor needed to sign off on their medication/health appraisal form so I made 2 separate doctors appointments for my boys to get that signed off then returned everything just to receive a catty email back from the director who was extremely unprofessional and rude to me.. youre working with families of special needs children and you have nothing better to do with your time then to be rude to a parent thats only trying to get a little relief of some respite because I am so drained Im not even sure when the last time I had sleep or could take a shower without someone needing me, I have absolutely no help because Ive been on your wait list for months waiting patiently, so tonight Im in tears of how I was treated, after all of that wasteful time and attitude from the director I will look elsewhere because nobody deserves to be treated that way, if youre going to be in this line of work then be a little compassionate & understanding. I had to jump through a lot of hoops just to be told they couldnt take them after all and nobody during all this time even called me to let me know so that I could have been receiving help elsewhere. Now my journey trying to find respite & getting on another waitlist starts over. If youre looking for a compassionate understanding respite program who truly have you & your families best interest then look elsewhere as you will hit a dead end here.

After previous director Nicole left the place completely went downhill, new administration has shown they do not care for the children how they used too. Staff was treated poorly and not given breaks. They do not maintain the values that they say they do 🤦🏽‍♀️
