Most toxic environment. Also, all of the good reviews are because they held a meeting to pressure students and parents to leave a review to combat the bad reviews.

Very disappointed
We really like Kirsten however May be looking for another dance studio.
I had a very excited kiddo who's been studying for 2 weeks to prepare for ballet camp. Was dressed and ready to go to be told she can't come because of her age. Kirsten has worked with her and checked with other teachers and recommended she attended the camp.
The director who's never seen her or worked with her refused her based solely on a number. So now she's been refused ability appropriate dance camp because of her birthday. I was told there is no camp appropriate for her ability at her age.
She has a September birthday which means next year she'd still not be able to do ability appropriate camp.
She's studied so hard to be ready to be at the level of older girls to have that crushed literally 20 minutes before start time. She wants to learn formal technique and work on her strength and balance to augment her competitive figure skating but they said they won't let her start doing that for 2 years.
We may be looking for another studio who looks at students based on the individual not a number.
Also if this were going to be a problem why didn't they look at the birthdays of those registered and call us so I didn't break a kiddos heart 20 min before?
The owners response to this review shows it all. Their instructors think she's appropriate but the owner doesn't trust the judgement of the instructors and only looks at numbers. None of this is about money. It's about a sad little girl who's been studying technique and French for 2 weeks to be ready.
