Matheny Endurance

Daniel is one bad$%^ coach. I hired him in the spring of 2018 and continued with him to the Spring of 2020 (COVID messed it all up). Together, we worked to focus on the long-game, a sustainable build towards the greater goal of becoming a well-rounded cyclist. This approach allowed me to find success, not only in our local XC races, but also in marathon and gravel disciplines. He has a wealth of knowledge about training and can help create a plan for you that is not only interesting and effective, but one that won't lead to burn out and failure! I've referred several close friends to him for coaching and will continue to do it going forward.

Daniel is a true professional. He uses science and athlete feedback to improve individual performance. Daniel has helped me to improve fitness and confidence and given me a better perspective on athletic performance. Daniel is accessible and empathetic to the needs of amateur athletes. Matheny really knows his stuff for fitness training! He's enthusiastic and fun to be around, and knowledgeable. If you want great results and to be able to have extremely strong and efficient heart, lungs, and legs, Matheny is one of the best around.

I've been working with Daniel for over 5 years now. Other than knowing how to ride a bike, I had literally no other experience. I knew I wanted to get better and faster, and I knew I wanted to do endurance events. Over the years he has helped me grow to become a more confident, fit, and strategic rider. I end up racing 4-5+ events a year and have finished some of the biggest name events out there including: Leadville MTB Trail 100 and Stage Race, Unbound Gravel (100 and 200), Rebecca's Private Idaho (Stage Race), Big Sugar 100, and many other less well known events. I cannot recommend Daniel enough!
