Charming house, walking distance to bars & restaurants. Owner pam and her husband jay will spoil you. Terrific breakfast. My room (Sycamore) was a suite, with a great spot for getting work done. Highly recommended!

Great location, beautiful house, fantastic hosts, excellent food! Three of us stayed in the 2 room suite with a private bathroom for the the two combined bedrooms and one sitting room. Two mini fridges provided and stocked with seltzer and still water. Pam, Jay and Luke were excellent hosts. Pam saw to our every need and detail. She's a pleasure to speak with and brings such joy to every room. Jay made the most delicious breakfasts, and keeps the coffee going from 5:30 AM! Luke is quite artistic and brings beauty to all he touches. We hope to return and bring our friends and family.

AMAZING!!! My girlfriend and I were going to a concert at Pikes Peak Center (walking distance from the inn if it werent so chilly). I was just going to book a hotel for the night but decided to try St. Marys.(So glad I did). Pam and Jay are the nicest couple. They made us feel like we were visiting family. We were the only guests being mid week in the off season, but I know they would be the same if it was 20 guests or just 2. Our room, the Cypress, was incredible, clean and roomy. So much history attached to this place and they shared many stories about the inn. Breakfast was outstanding and so much food that we almost couldnt finish it, almost. Living in Denver, the Springs is really just a day trip, now we have an excuse to make trips there an overnight thing. We will definitely be back again and again. Thanks for an amazing stay.

UPDATE 5/31/2021 just updating this to say that the inn is STILL excellent and five stars in my book. New owners Pam and Jay have taken over from Zeno and Conchita. Pam and Jay are lovely people and clearly enjoy being great hosts and know a lot about the history of this house as well as the entire area. Breakfasts are the same exquisiteness (attaching a photo of a Belgian waffle that was spectacular). Rooms are still beautiful. Slight suggestion to avoid room Acacia, the only one on the main floor, unless youre an early (6am) riser like me. They work hard to keep the kitchen sounds as quiet as possible of course but theres only so much you can do in these historic buildings. ==original review below== This is an excellent inn. I have visited Colorado Springs three times in the past two years (daughter applying to Colorado College and then moving in). First time, stayed at The Mining Exchange, which was fine but impersonal. Second time, wanted a place more walkable to the college and picked St. Mary's because of the exterior photo and other reviews. It was ABSOLUTELY perfect. The rooms are luxurious, the breakfast is exquisite. But most of all, Zeno and Conchita are incredibly warm and welcoming, and they encourage all the guests to get to know each other. Enlightening conversations about the history of the area and the best spots to visit, too. I will likely be visiting several more times over the next four years and will stay here every time.

Overall this inn was cute but I would never attempt to stay here again. First of all, our room (sycamore) was very cramped. I think it was a small room but it was also over decorated (e.g., lots of plastic fake wood things everywhere, large pieces of useless furniture). Second, the temp was not great. Theres a window unit and so all the mini rooms (e.g., area with the couch) were quite hot whereas the bed area was cold. Bathroom was tiny with virtually no counter space. I wish I could comment on the breakfast but unfortunately we were asked to leave before we even were able to spend the night. After we finally settled in and unpacked after a long travel day, one of the owners took a look at my daughter and without even saying hello, told me kids arent allowed. When I explained that I booked on a 3rd party website and it didnt say that (even pulling it up and showing the owner and her son) she said its all over OUR website. Obviously if you book on a 3rd party site youre not really doing a deep dive into the website. Anyway we had prepaid for everything and the husband said too bad thats our policy and you can take it up with [3rd party]. The woman was annoyed that we were annoyed and loudly complained to her husband on the phone repeatedly as though we werent standing there. At the end of the day, despite them only having one other guest at the hotel, they kicked us out. We had to contact Expedia and urgently find a hotel for the night (it was already evening at this point) and were worried wed have to spend the night in our car. If youre going to have a policy thats hostile to children then that should be in the first line of every description on a third party website. For example This adult-only inn Overall it was a very upsetting situation and the lack of professionalism just took it to the next level. Absolutely terrible way to start a vacation.
