Dr Gilmer has been my doctor for several years and helped me fight - and subdue - my diabetes. He's fantastic, personable and thorough. You might have to wait a bit before your appointment, but he always takes the time to listen to his patients.

Update at 2 years after original review: Just want to say, everything I said below is still true! ******** I've been going to AIMC for years now. I will be honest though, I've only ever seen the P.A.s, who I've been extremely impressed with. My husband goes here too, and he has had appointments with the doctors, and has only good things to say. I believe he's seen Dr. Abouaf. But I saw Jennifer many times before she left, and now Kara. Both are everything you want in a medical professional. Even in these COVID times, I had a hybrid telemedicine/in-person appointment for a yearly physical, and I felt the discussion over the phone (video call) was very thorough, and then they had a screening procedure for entering the office for the short part of my appointment that needed to be done in-person. I liked that I didn't have to hang out in the waiting room or in an exam room for a long time. I saw some of the reviews were fairly critical of the front desk staff, and although I never felt they were incompetent or rude, I do feel like the front end staff has improved over the last couple years. There's a friendliness and willingness to help that I do think is better now than it used to be. But like another review said, I'm not going to review a whole practice based on an occasional interaction with someone at the front desk who may be stressed out. I find reviews tend to capture everyone's worst day, and I can say that over many appointments over many years, I've been very happy with this clinic and intend to keep going there.

The staff is horrible discussed my private medical information in the open area and then when I complained they refused to make an appointment with my doctor! Literally worst care! Unprofessional and no regard for patients!

I'm not sure who decided it was a GREAT IDEA to DESTROY their phone system by not allowing direct contact to the office but, they should be FIRED! NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING! RIDICULOUS! Having to leave a voicemail THEN getting a call to get transferred to ANOTHER VOICEMAIL IS A FRIGGIN' JOKE!!!! REALLY?????!!!!
