Somatic Spiritual Counseling

There is no other therapy worth money. Somatic experiencing is the only way to heal your little one inside while understanding there is magic underneath the constructs of this goofy world. In my humble opinion all other therapy is a waste of money. Come bend your mind. I am a grumpy Marine veteran with a fair amount of adversity in my life. I have probably had 15 therapists in my life and a handful of mystical experiences self inflicted. Nothing came close to what I have been able to accomplish with somatic experiencing for both individual and couples therapy.

I had weekly sessions with Asa Dean, for 6 months. He is an excellent practitioner. Very knowledgeable in all aspects of this field. He is compassionate, warm, understanding, and very accepting. I highly recommend him. I also had 2 sessions with Dara Del Rio and she is an excellent practitioner as well. A gentle and kind person and also extremely knowledgeable. She has my highest regard and recommendation, as well. I believe the mission of Somatic Spritual Counseling, to help clients through their trauma and all this encompasses, is the best I have ever encountered. Thank you.

I did not have an 1:1 session with Emma but I did do one of her guided meditations and wanted to share my thoughts because it is something that is available for download for anyone who'd like try. Her offering, Finding Your Inner Ally, was a really great experience. I have done guided meditations before, but what stood out to me about this one is that Emma's approach is so accessible. Her style is very direct and creates a feeling of safety and empowerment. I never felt pressured to feel certain things and knew if I wanted to I could stop at any time. Ultimately, I did meet an ally and it brought me a message that was very timely and appreciated in that moment. I look forward to revisiting the practice in the future as well. If anyone would like to get a feel for what working with Emma might be like I definitely recommend trying one of her meditations.

I had a phenomenal experience with Chris as my therapist. My partner and I went to him for couples therapy for a year, and I really think it saved our relationship. He gave us the tools we needed to effectively communicate with one another, work through our baggage and trauma, and foster more love and intimacy. I am very grateful for the insight and space that Chris provided.

Working with Dara del Rio has been a transformative experience for me—each time learning more about myself and healing in both physical and spiritual ways. Her approach works in a serpentine manner, quietly and effectively caressing the spiritual wounds, rectifying unhealthy energy flows and allowing healing to truly begin from the inside out. I continue to seek out her services for spiritual growth and bodily wellness. With her sessions, I have been able to better connect with my body, my lovers, my family both living and ancestral, as well as esoteric energies and beings. The medicine isn’t always easy or pleasant to experience, at times it is deeply challenging, but each time it is undeniably worth it. I’m eternally grateful to have met Dara, and look forward to in engaging future work with her!
